Self-Insured Insurance Programs
As a practical matter, most self-insured programs are partly self-insured with varying layers of excess insurance coverage in excess of the “underlying” or self-insured limits. Only in the very largest programs will an insured choose to “go bare” that is to totally self-insure a particular risk with no excess insurance coverage.
Mr. Underdown has experience with a variety of self-insured programs including: general liability, vehicle liability, professional liability, workers’ compensation and employee benefits.
